In this taster workshop, you will first get a basic introduction to the topic of virtual reality, including the presentation of possible areas of application and the potential challenges and risks in dealing with VR technology. We will then introduce you to the VR glasses we use at HyLeC (HTC Vive Pro Eye) and explain the technology behind these glasses.

After the introduction, you will then be allowed to try out virtual reality for yourself. To familiarize yourself with the controllers and the general feeling in VR, you will initially go through a low-threshold tutorial. Afterwards, you can explore different environments in the application "The Lab". In these, you can try out virtual archery, take a "close-up" look at the solar system, or defend your spaceship against attackers from outer space.
